14th Teran and Truffle Festival

The main square in Motovun will once again come alive with exceptional wines, delicious food, local products, and vibrant entertainment — all part of the 14th edition of the festival celebrating two of Istria’s finest treasures: teran and truffles. Save the dates and join us on the most beautiful hill in Istria!

The festival brings together a wide array of exhibitors, offering tastings of teran wines, truffles, and gourmet creations inspired by both. The Motovun festival is known as a meeting point for top-tier winemakers and producers of truffle-based products, as well as companies specializing in truffle sourcing. Expect mouthwatering dishes crafted from these enogastronomic gems — and of course, great music to complete the experience.

When autumn tones dominate Istria, its landscapes are covered in hundreds of shades of yellow, orange and red. From the top of the hill, Motovun, a medieval town with a view of the Motovun Forest, the Mirna River and its stunning valley, is majestically watching this autumnal colorfulness. In October, when these two delicacies reach their highest power, the Teran Wine and Truffle Festival is held in it, which combines teran wine, the best examples of which come from the Motovun area, with the truffle - an Istrian underground treasure from the Motovun forest, without which today's gourmet kitchen would be unimaginable.

Recreational hiking "Along the Teran Trails" around Motovun, 11 km long. Fee is 15 euros and includes licensed guide, wine tasting with cukerančići during the walk, voucher for lunch at the main square, and a free shuttle ticket to the old town core. Participation for children under 14 is free, with mandatory parental supervision.
