For the very first time, the Hook & Cook Festival is dropping anchor in northern Istria – in the heart of the fishing village of Karigador. A big credit goes to the Brtonigla tourist board, whose initiative brought this unique gastro-music event up north, blending top flavours, live beats and an authentic atmosphere.
This edition brings extra sparkle: Petar Tucman, MasterChef star and head chef of Zagreb’s cult bistro Tender, will showcase his signature style where tradition meets Italian finesse and a touch of cocktail culture. Behind the decks, DJ Neeksha & DJ Dazz will keep the pier dancing from sunset to starlight with irresistible grooves, funk and beats. To top it all off, Bura Brew will be serving ice-cold craft beers on tap.
The date is set – gather your crew and come hungry.
Hook & Cook – more than just a festival
Since its beginnings in 2016 in Medulin, Hook & Cook has been more than a festival – it’s a manifestation of a shared way of life. It unites locals and visitors in a carefree atmosphere without compromises or clichés: no sponsor tents, no plastic, no fake smiles – only real food, real music and real people.
The festival’s potential has been recognised by numerous chefs, food producers, winemakers and brewers who join year after year. Its essence lies in the collaboration of top chefs presenting signature seafood dishes made from fresh local catch, turning the fishing pier into a stage for a unique gastronomic and musical experience.
