Delicious delicacies are an inevitable part of this region. There are the Days of Seashells in February, and the Choco and Wine Festival in Brtonigla after that is just waiting for you. From March 21st to May 13th, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the Days of Asparagus. If you accidentally miss these, the Šparugafest in Novigrad will be held at the end of April, and there is also a Spring Omelette in Brtonigla. Wines are, along with food, unmissable experience provided by Istria. In May, Istria Wine & Walk is held for all wine and nature lovers, while Istrian wines can also be enjoyed in the autumn, on the Wine & Walk by the Sea taking place in September.

Runners can participate in the winter route via the Brtonigla Adventure Trek and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and valleys of the Mirna River. Or in the Istralandia Run & Slide summer adventure. If you like cycling, Northwestern Istria invites you to explore its beautiful landscapes on a bicycle and enjoy racing events, such as Biciklijada Radini and the famous Istria Granfondo, which will see its the seventh edition this year. For all the tennis enthusiasts out there, in October there is the Colours of Tennis, a humanitarian event which will gather many famous faces.
In summer, music and dance will attract you to Brtonigla, both for the Karigador Nights and for the Feast of St. Lawrence.
