The irresistible world of flavors
I believe most gourmands are already in their starting positions because February brings the favorite Choco and Wine Fest in Brtonigla. Spring is the time of Istrian Asparagus Days, marking the rule of this “green queen” of Istrian plates, while the end of the year is reserved once more for seafood delicacies, the must-visit Sole Fish Days and Days of Adriatic Squid. In the meantime wine lovers will enjoy vineyard walks and tasting fine wines during the popular and wildly fun manifestations Istria Wine and Walk, Sweet Wine and Walk, and Wine and Walk by the sea.
In a healthy body…
This year Istria once more brings you a plethora of prestige events that should find their place in every sports fan’s planner. Fans of running have already marked the 8th of June for the Umag Night RUN‘s second edition. July is reserved for the new chapter of the great tennis tale called Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, and we’ll meet again on tennis courts in the autumn for the Colours Of Tennis humanitarian tournament. You didn’t really think I’d forget Istria Granfondo? The great cycling marathon’s eighth edition will take place at the start of October.
No vacation without festivals
If by now you haven’t been introduced to the wonders of Istrian cuisine, this summer is a chance to set things right. Gather your crew and head for the festivals that are rich in both positive atmosphere and tasty delicacies. Be it the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Karigador nights or the feasts of St. Lawrence or St. Roch, a good time is guaranteed and you’ll also have a chance to experience the spirit of a bygone era.
