In order for my wellness trip to be a full treatment for body and soul, I take a well- traveled path to preparation. Here’s some basic advice on preparing yourself for a trip to the wellness center!
Wellness centers may have different rules about clothing, depending on the treatments you choose but be sure to pack a bathing suit. If you plan on having a massage or enjoying the sauna, keep a towel or a bathrobe handy. Take off your watch and any jewelry and place them somewhere safe before the treatment, to prevent any potential losses.
Food, Drink, and When To
Before going to a wellness center you should definitely avoid heavy foods and instead have a light meal up to two hours before arriving. Tasty menus based on wild asparagus and sole fish are an excellent choice. Even though it’s not recommended to drink alcoholic beverages before wellness because it can lead to dehydration, you’re free to have a glass of Istrian Teran wine – you know what they say, red wine is for health and beauty!
Smart People Ask
When arriving for your treatment, be sure to study the house rules of the wellness center or seek more information ahead of time online or in brochures, so that you may be familiar with the etiquette and everything necessary to use the services, including hygiene and dress code. Of course, the pleasant and expert staff will certainly be at your disposal, especially if it’s your first time visiting a wellness center.
Switch Off and Enjoy Yourself!
Yes, yes, I know it seems impossible, especially if you’re a big fan of technology but don’t forget that wellness is for relaxing and, as such, no place for a cell phone. Instead of surfing the web, use the time to reconnect with yourself and leave the gadgets as far away from your eyes as possible. Relax your mind, trust me, some loneliness will be good for you.
