The wild beach between Dajla and Mareda camp
The wild beach extending from the village of Dajla to Mareda camp gives those who want to get away from the summer bustle on the coast a chance to enjoy the pristine, untouched nature. Visitors will find no cafes, tourist stands or water parks, only peace and quiet. Pets and naturists are also not an uncommon sight here. One part of the beach is adapted to families with children and has a playground, cafe, showers, changing cabins and other facilities. This beach is for the most part covered in flat rocks that provide an ideal spot to sunbathe with the background of the waves on the Adriatic Sea.
Unlike the beach described above Karigador has had some concrete interventions, but it is also a beautiful beach perfect for summer relaxation for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere. Although mostly rocky, a small part of the beach is covered in sand. What makes this beach worth visiting is the romantic trail that goes around it and also leads to lesser known Karigador.
Hidden in Karpinjan Bay, not far from Novigrad, Karpinjan Beach is one of the most beautiful pebble beaches in this part of Istria. Surrounded by Mediterranean pines, it can nevertheless be accessed on foot, by bicycle or car. Although it is for the most part cultivated, and has showers and public toilets as well as a nearby cafe and playgrounds, one part of the beach is covered in untouched rocks, which gives it a touch of unspoilt wilderness. While it is perfect for families with kids, it is also a great choice for athletes and those who like active holidays because in its vicinity you will find a number of sports facilities (beach volleyball and tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports field, a bike trail and a small children’s water park where you can rent pedal boats, paddle surfing equipment, etc.) as well as different hospitality venues.
About 8 km south of Umag you can find the beautiful naturist rocky beach with a fairy tale name, Ladin gaj. The name is appropriate for the peaceful bay that you can reach by a gorgeous trail. For visitors who enjoy nudist beaches it is useful to know that Ladin Gaj has public toilets, showers and changing cabins and that deck chairs and beach umbrellas are available for rent.
You will find this beauty not far from the naturist camp of the same name. The beautiful long bay is secluded behind the luscious greenery of the forest, which provides its visitors with shade during the hottest hours of the day. This pebbled beach is definitely one of the most beautiful in the area surrounding Buje.
